This course has been designed to train your employees on the procedures used to conduct visual inspections of propane storage tanks and their valves and fittings. Specifically, this course is designed for conducting visual tank and pressure relief valve inspections on consumer ASME tanks within the 500 to 2,000 USWG size range which are installed to supply propane to end users for heating and appliance use. This course is often taken in combination with our Loading and Unloading Propane Tank Truck courses since it is the driver who usually conducts this process during the tank filling process.
Evacuating Propane From Consumer Storage Tanks (SO03)

This training course has been designed to instruct your employees on the proper procedures for safely evacuating propane from consumer storage tanks prior to transporting the tank back to the propane bulk plant for periodic pressure relief replacement.
The Fuels Training Centre offers a selection of courses designed to train your employees on specific propane transport and operational activities. In addition to learning specific skills on how to conduct the operations within the course, students will also learn about propane properties and characteristics, site safety and PPE requirements, and the rules and regulations they must comply with.

This course addresses the regulatory requirements specified by Transport Canada within the Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations and supporting national codes and standards.
